A good meal, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A bit of a wait when asking for the bill and then an even longer wait for the card machine to actually pay. But otherwise it was great food. The highlight is the cocktails.
Went for my mum's 70th. Never heard of the place. Was willing to give a try. Didn't have high expectations. Place is amazing. Staff really accommodating, pleasant , happy and helpful. Food was amazing. Filling and great value. Will definitely be going back.
Overall, the staff here were nice and welcoming. However, with more than half of the restaurant empty and several staff members just standing around having a good old chatter, our food still took 40 minutes to arrive from the point of ordering! Throughout our entire time there, not a single staff member came over to our table to check if everything was OK which meant that when we wanted to request something, I had to physically get up, find and ask someone. The food was decent but the ice cream scoops could have been bigger and better presented. With the nice and quirky atmosphere, this restaurant has the potential to be great - the only things that they need to work on is the staff effectiveness and waiting times.
The staff need to be friendlier, maybe business is really good and they don't need the customers but it would be nice if they were a bit more hospitable and didn't treat us like they wanted us out the door as soon as we entered, this is rather usual and not a one off. Also the chicken is always a half an hour wait. If it wasn't for the nice atmosphere and the pretty layout it would be an easy miss.
This was my first visit to Turtle Bay in Milton Keynes and I was very impressed. The food atmosphere and service were all very good. We were a group of about 40 and we chose our food in advance from the whole menu. Everything arrived as ordered, perfectly cooked and delivered with a smile. They have a great team working there. Highly recommended. Special mention to the Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken.
