A little bit pricey for what it is, but the staff keep the actual buildings in a very good condition and of the era they depic. If you take your time and don't rush you could easily spend all day here, with a visit to the cafe, well stocked with very good choices of sandwich and cake, the cakes are made there by a wonderful women who surely has bakers hands!! We have visited here for many years and always enjoy it, it's a trip back to how the local area once was, so if you like history it's well worth a look.

A very nice museum focusing on the original beginnings of Milton Keynes, the life and house of Sir John Radcliffe, and victorian life in general. Staff and experts give guided tours around the house. There are interactive parts such as cooking a slice of toast the old fashioned way on an open stove, etchings etc. A fantastic tea room, spotless clean and home cooked cakes. They also have themed days throughout the year. I have been 3 times and would definitely visit again.

The absolute best museum for the family! There are so many different things to do for people of all ages. I absolutely love the Victorian house and my children enjoy the telephone exchange which is fully working and gives people a chance to see how phone lines used to connect. There are plenty of people there to help and we just keep going back again and again.

Great venue for a day out. Every year they do a Victorian Christmas throughout the museum. This is fun for children and adults. Very reasonable entrance fee which allows you in all year.Toast bread on an open fire in the kitchen, get mulled wine in the parlor. Kids can sit at desks in the school and make things. There's a wonderful section on transport and one for telephones. Best part which is a must is the little cafe area with wonderful homemade cakes and a good cuppa tea. Seriously though make this a stop for you.

Good museum, lots to look at. There was also loads of stuff to touch, which was really great. Their phone installations are really impressive, they have their own standalone phone networks complete with historical exchanges and phones throughout the ages. Cafe was pretty tasty too. All run by volunteers, really can't fault them. Plus a single admission fee gets you in all year.
