I've recently visited after nearly ten years since the precious visit and it had been significantly modernised and updated. I have always found it s fascinating and well done museum and I think the updates have just made it even more engaging. I can't recommend it enough.
We had a brilliant day. The ticket we bought is valid for a year, so we can go as often as we like. My husband didn't have to pay, as I'm disabled, so he had felt we admission as a carer. The exhibits were fabulous, really cleverly out together. I could've stayed for days, to see everything. Looking around the machines & code breaking equipment was really impressive & made me realize how much thought by extremely intelligent people had changed our lives before we were even born. It was stunning. I thought I was clever, but those people were something far better. Amazing place. Will Definitly go again
This has been on my bucket list for many years and finally I've been. The wait has been well worth it. A first class experience. Would recommend the free guided tour which lasts about an hour and then you can wander around the grounds and museum at leisure. A thoroughly enjoyable day.
An important resource detailing pivotal events in recent history. Numerous highly knowledgeable enthusiastic staff. Good value as you can return without further cost. Excellent catering. Buildings age sometimes impedes disabled access despite best endeavours.
Very informative. Having watched the Imagination Game the night before it was great to see and hear all about the efforts to crack the codes. Site has several huts and the mansion. We went in mid January so the walks between huts was a little chilly. Would be very pleasant in the summer as there are places to stop, sit or have a picnic. Only downside is the price of entry. 48 for a family ticket is a little steep. It does allow you to visit as many times as you want for 12 months so we will be heading back without the kids to spend more time absorbing the information. It's a shame the computing museum (on the same site) is not included in the entry price (another 20 for a family ticket) or tickets discounted if you purchase both. Not sure why both elements are not funded in the same way. Overall, a great learning experience, fascinating detail on the people, process and effort involved.
