Can't believe the previous post this is exactly what happened to us. My partner was standing directly underneath the lantern when one of the glass units suddenly exploded, we initially thought something had come through from outside but on closer inspection it was only the internal panel of the double glazed unit that had shattered. Luckily she wasn't hurt but we have small children and I dread to think what might have happened. After talking with a local glass company we were told this was a sub-standard unit and the explosion was caused by the difference in air pressure between inside and outside the house on a hot day however these units should be able to cope with considerably more extreme weather than what we are used to in the U.K. After many calls and emails to customer services I was advised that the unit wasn't covered under warranty and they won't supply an individual unit I would therefore have to buy an entire new lantern at 6k+. We were completely stunned by there response. These roofs are of poor quality. We ordered a black one and when it came it was actually a brown one repainted and patchy where paint had been applied sparingly. The roof has leaked since day one through the electric opening windows, we had a local company install our roof and have had them back a number of times but they blame the poor quality product. Reflex also don't supply a capping for the aluminium upstand which was disappointing as our roof has never looked finished we used flashing but it looks worse. We are very conscious of being under the roof on hot days incase of a similar incident, which is not how you should be living I your own home. All in all I would advise anyone to stay well clear of this company or its sister company Roofmaker. I would recommend paying that little bit more for a professional quality product as one of these roofs will cause you nothing but headaches for years ahead plus other damage to your property. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has had similar experiences as I am sure there are Many.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. We have rung countless times spoken to numerous managers and sent emails. It has been over a month now and still the problem hasn't been resolved. Had we of known this company was a shame we would have not purchased our roof lantern from them. Because of this awful lack in service, we now have to purchase a whole new roof lantern from another company instead of being able to replace the one shattered glass! I am appalled by your service and I don't understand why you can't return calls? We are also shocked that the glass had shattered in the first place! Surely this shouldn't have happened? Won't be purchasing from them again or recommending them to anyone now or in the future. Disgusting company.
